Beyonce is not just a queen of pop but an ultimate hairstyle chameleon as well. She has proved millions of times that she can pull off any look she chooses, from sleek straight hair to full voluminous curls and even stylish braids. Her countless hair transformations leave a remarkable impression.
We first heard of Beyonce Knowles as the lead vocalist of the R&B group Destiny’s Child. The female band was formed in 1990 when Beyonce was just nine years old. Her father, Mathew Knowles, managed the group. They soon became one of the most popular R&B acts with their self-titled debut album that was released in early 1998. It was followed by the lead single “Bills, Bills, Bills” which became the first number one pop hit (and second R&B number one) in the summer of 1999 along with “Say My Name” in 2000 which was another massive hit and their biggest so far.
Beyonce eventually went as a solo artist and this is where her career blossomed the most. The pop diva tried her hand in acting and made a debut in 2001 with a starring role in “Carmen: A Hip Hopera”. She also released her first debut solo album, “Dangerously In Love” in 2003 which topped the Billboard 200 and spawned the No. 1 hits “Crazy In Love” and “Baby Boy.” She has also been the most nominated female artist in Grammy history with an immense 62 career nominations.
Queen Bey’s success is inevitable and well deserved. Her fierce dance moves, distinctive music videos and movies, her iconic songs and of course her timeless beauty that no matter what look she sported and hairstyle she picked, she will surely remain our Queen. All hail!
