Why Choose Henna Over Conventional Hair Dyes?

Why Choose Henna Over Conventional Hair Dyes?

Henna acts as a hair conditioner and moisturizes your hair from within while conventional dyes are loaded with chemicals and dry out your hair.  The color from henna dye lasts much longer than your average box dyes. Most people have to retouch their hair every 2 to 3 weeks with box dyes while the color of the henna dye will last ages.  Henna is a completely organic product that has no harmful ingredients. On the other hand, box dyes are loaded with chemicals that are not only bad for your hair but can irritate your scalp as well.  Henna makes your hair long and strong and promotes regrowth. On the other hand, box dyes can irritate your scalp and lead to hair loss.  Henna helps with breakage and strengthens your hair from root to tip. Chemical-based hair dyes penetrate the shaft of your hair, causing them to break easily and resulting in split ends.  Box dyes steal the shine of your hair while henna is known for adding luster to your locks.

Final Thoughts

If you want to experiment with your hair color, henna is the best option. Make sure to follow our instructions carefully while preparing and applying henna and you will be good to go.

While choosing a henna brand, make sure to look for an organic one. If any henna dye has metallic salts, chemicals, or any other harmful ingredients, stay clear of that. Our personal favorite is henna powder by ‘The Henna Guys’. It is completely organic, vegan, and cruelty-free. Moreover, it comes in a variety of color options as well.
