Plus, to say this style is easy would be an understatement! This 5 to 10-minute hairstyle will add some flair to any casual look for just about any occasion.
Fin-Tastic Braid For Summertime
For this hairstyle, I asked my niece, Kilee, to model because she has the perfect hair length. When I say that this style is easy you guys, I mean this style is E-A-S-Y. Anyone can recreate this look! It’s such a great hairstyle because it’s casual, but it gives your hair a little extra flair! This would be such a great style for summertime because it gets your hair out of your face, and you could even create a cute ponytail or bun at the base of this style. Grab your forks (can you name the reference?) and let’s get to styling!
Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, hairspray {if desired}.

Mermaid Loop Braid
Add a fun flair to your summer look with this versatile braid style!
Pull up the top section of hair (about an inch above each ear). Secure with an elastic hair wrap the elastic. Divide the ponytail in half, and begin a 3 strand braid on the right section of hair.Begin a normal 3 strand braid stitch.As you begin the second stitch of the braid, reach up to the front of the head and pull a small section of hair into the braid. Continue this same pattern for 3 more stitches. Finish out the rest of the right section with a normal 3 strand braid all the way down the hair. Secure with elastic.Repeat steps 3-5 now on the left section of hair.As you reach the end of the braid on the left side, remove the elastic from the right section and join the 2 sections together with the elastic.
